Czech Radio (Český rozhlas) is a public radio broadcaster in the Czech Republic broadcasting national and regional radio programmes using AM/FM and DAB terrestrial transmissions together with 8 high audio quality digital internet radio channels. Czech Radio is one of the oldest broadcasting organisations in Europe having started in 1923 in what was then Czechoslovakia. Czech Radio is ‘a national cultural institution whose mission is to serve the public’. All 8 stations broadcast a 128 kpbs and 224 kbps Ogg/Vorbis stream and 4 of them (ČRo Vltava, ČRo D-dur, ČRo Jazz and ČRo Radio Wave) now have CD Quality Lossless FLAC streams.
