Apple Music Classical expands in Asia and will be available from the 24th January in China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao according to a recent announcement on X (Twitter). The app can now be pre-ordered in these countries. Apple initially launched the its Classical app on the 28th March last year with an iPhone app and has since release an Android app in June and an iPad app in November.

Available to Apple Music subscribers at no additional cost you can find any recording in the world’s largest classical music catalogue with search built for the genre. Beginners to classical music can get acquainted with the genre thanks to hundreds of Essentials playlists, insightful composer biographies, deep-dive guides for many key works, and intuitive browsing features including:

  • Unlimited access to the world’s largest classical music catalogue (over 5 million tracks) with everything from new releases to celebrated masterpieces, plus thousands of exclusive albums.
  • Search by composer, work, conductor, or even catalogue number, and find specific recordings instantly.

  • Complete and accurate metadata to make sure you know exactly what and who you are playing.

To listen to Apple Music Classical requires an Apple Music subscription (Individual, Student, Family, or Apple One) and is not available with the Apple Music Voice Plan.
