NoiseHub have developed an Apple Music Year in Review App which provides similar functionality to Spotify’s ‘Spotify Wrapped’ feature. Apple Music subscribers using the app can look back at their listening trends of 2018 by genre, artists, and songs. The app generates graphical reports which can be shared on Instagram Stories or Twitter.

Released in early December 2018, it has already had 3 updates – the latest on 31st December – to address some fairly harsh reviews regarding the app’s stability. There was also concern around the use of any data collected which has resulted in the developers posting this Privacy Policy on the European Apple Store:

‘In this app, we don’t share your data, sell your data, or allow third party access your data whatsoever. It is kept completely internal and will be used for our own applications. The only data we save is your email, top five artists, top five songs, and top genre. This is not used for advertising of any sort. It is just for us to create a general music demographic of Apple Music listeners.

Upon opening the Music Year in Review, we ask that you provide us an email so we have a way to identify you in case you would like to have your data deleted as per GDPR regulations. If you would like to have your data erased, you will have to provide the email you inputted, and send us an email.’

(Note: the GDPR is the General Data Protection Regulation which is the European Union’s data privacy regulation governing the use of personal data)

The app is free to use and can be downloaded on the Apple App Store here.
