Discovery made more social with ‘Liked By’ feature
Music Discovery was never a solo activity according to SoundCloud and have introduced ‘Liked By’ a new feature that brings SoundCloud’s community to life by showing you what your friends, fellow fans, and favourite artists are loving. From searching for the perfect song to browsing new playlists, ‘Liked By’ shows both listeners and creators which tracks have earned their community’s stamp of approval.
For fans, it’s a way to connect with the people they follow and discover what artists are inspired by today for tomorrow’s greatest hits. For artists, every like they drop is a chance to share their taste and turn listeners into lifelong fans. Take your library on the road with CarPlay
SoundCloud has expanded access to Apple CarPlay for all users with no upgrade needed. Previously available only to Go, Go+, Artist, Artist Pro, and SoundCloud DJ subscribers, this update brings seamless, on-the-road listening to everyone. Now, any listeners or artist can easily tap into their libraries, playlists, and liked tracks on the go.
Human curation is being favoured over AI and algorithms
SoundCloud is spotlighting human curation over algorithms with a new wave of original playlists from creators like Cam Sullivan-Brown, Daymond, and Welcome to the Culture.
These playlists – Aux Therapy, Snappin On Calm, and Welcome to the Culture – offer listeners a direct line to the music shaping their favourite creators’ worlds.
