
H1 2025 Snapshot
Recorded music revenue in Spain rose to €162.6 million (industry value) in the first half of 2025, up 10.4% year-on-year according to Promusicae, the Spanish recorded music industry association. At retail value, consumer spending was approximately €288.8 million.
Streaming and Digital
Streaming continues to dominate Spain’s music market, accounting for 88.6% of total revenues. Overall streaming revenue reached €144.2 million, up 10.2% compared to H1 2024.
- Paid subscriptions grew strongly, rising 18.9% to €103.7 million.
- Ad-supported audio streaming fell by 15.4% to €18.6 million.
- Ad-supported video streaming showed slight growth (+1.3%) to €21.8 million.
Downloads and mobile product sales continued their long-term decline.
Physical Formats
The physical market grew 14.8% overall, thanks to the continued strength of vinyl.
- Vinyl sales rose 25.6%, generating around €12 million and representing nearly 69% of all physical sales.
- CD revenue fell 3.2% to €5.34 million, underlining the steady erosion of the format.

Antonio Guisasola, president of Promusicae, commented: “It is more than confirmed that streaming is currently the main form of consumption sustaining the music market, although we must not forget that the public continues to show great interest in physical products, especially vinyl records…”
