TIDAL’s HiRes plan is now cheaper than Spotify coming in at £10.99/month compared to the recently increased Spotify Premium plan costing £11.99/month. TIDAL cuts the cost of HiRes streaming by combining its HiFi Plus and HiFi tiers into a single subscription tier called TIDAL. Available from the 10th April, the streamer is updating the pricing across all of its 61 countries giving subscribers access to the complete 110 million track catalogue. TIDAL completes its HiRes FLAC rollout with 6 million tracks available to all users who subscribe to their HiFi Plus tier. The rollout was completed on the 2nd August 2023 and FLAC files are available on iOS, Android, and Desktop apps as well as via web browsers. TIDAL starts to rollout HiRes FLAC to its Early Access Program (EAP) users on iOS according to a recent reddit post by TIDAL CEO Jesse Dorogusker. The streamer is now offering high resolution content in FLAC format, up to 24-bit 192kHz.
