The Top 25 UK podcasts for Q3 2023 chart according to Edison Podcast Metrics has been published by Edison Research. Edison Podcast Metrics UK, the only podcast measurement service that measures the relative audience size and demographics of all podcasts and podcast networks in the UK.

The Edison Podcast Metrics Top 25 UK Podcasts of Q3 2023 list is derived from data collected continuously during the third quarter of 2023, interviewing 2,326 weekly podcast consumers ages 15 and older in the UK. Participants indicate which podcasts they listened to in the past week along with a variety of demographic, psychographic, and purchase-behaviour information.

The Joe Rogan Experience, The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett, and That Peter Crouch Podcast are the top three podcasts in the UK based on total weekly audience reach among weekly podcast listeners age 15+ for Q3 2023. Notable movers within the Top 10 include That Peter Crouch Podcast, up to #3 from #5, The Rest is Politics, up to #5 from #6, and Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster, down to #6 from #3 in Q2 2023.

Three shows made their Top 10 debut: The News Agents at #7, Saving Grace at #8, and Parenting Hell at #10. Three shows dropped out of the Top 10 from Q2 2023: No Such Thing as a Fish, Newscast, and The Daily.

Scandals and spicy content buoyed Help I Sexted My Boss and The Girls Bathroom, as both shows had episodes that went viral. Newcomers to the podcast genre include The Louis Theroux Podcast which launched in May exclusively on Spotify, and Growing Paynes, which launched in July.

At least 2,000 weekly podcast listeners in the UK are surveyed each quarter for the service, and listening behaviour is collected regardless of listening platform. The same methodology is being employed in the UK as is used in the US. The first Top Podcast Shows ranker in the US was released by Edison Research in November 2019 and the company has been tracking podcast consumption in the aggregate since 2006.
