Nine of the top ten positions are occupied by the latest works of Spanish musicians who are as popular worldwide as they are in Spain. Alejandro Sanz who topped the album charts was recently awarded the Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album. Manuel Carrasco (La cruz del mapa) repeats his second place position after 55 weeks in the charts a success backed by his live tour that earned him an Odeón Award for Best Director. In third place was El Barrio with El danzar de las mariposas achieving nine weeks in the charts. The Catalan artist, Rosalía (El mal querer) who charted fourth has captured international attention with millions of views of her videos and awards (Best Video in the Odeón and Grammy for the Best Latin Rock, Alternative or Urban Album). Latin best sellers

Reggaeton is the most streamed musical genre in an annual list of songs that mostly features Latin music heavyweights. The Spanish exception is Don Patricio coming in first position with Contando Lunares and Rosalía with Con Altura in 6th place. After Don Patricio, the songs that played the most were Daddy Yankee and Snow (Con Calma), Pedro Capó and Farruko (Calma remix), AnuelAA, Daddy Yankee, Karol G and J Balvin (China), Ozuna (Baila, baila, baila) and Bad Bunny and Tainy (Callaita) in this order.

The top radio play of 2019 was Love someone by Lukas Graham which was a surprise given that Spanish radio has local music quotas.

The top compilation of 2019 was Los números 1 de Los 40 and the top DVD was the documentary Sanz: Lo que fui es lo que soy.
