Marshall, famous for its stage amps and loudspeakers, is launching a range of Smart Speakers with Marshall Voice combining the ‘legendary sound of Marshall’ with voice control of music, scheduling reminders and controlling smart home devices. Marshall Voice will initially come with Amazon Alexa followed by Google Assistant later this year.

The first two Marshall Voice speakers launching are Acton II Voice with Amazon Alexa available from 2nd October and Stanmore II Voice with Amazon Alexa on sale from 9th November with pre-orders beginning 2nd October.

Acton II Voice

Acton II Voice is the smallest speaker in the Marshall line-up and features three dedicated class D amplifiers that power its dual tweeters and subwoofer. Using Alexa you can play your favourite playlist or learn a new chord progression on the guitar. Even tell Alexa to turn the volume up when your favourite song comes on or hit the lights when you’re ready to call it a day.

The speaker comes with classic Marshall details such as a textured vinyl covering, salt and pepper fret and the iconic script logo on the front. LED indicators on the brass plate indicate when Alexa is ready to respond to your commands.

Both the Acton II and its bigger sibling have ‘Far-Field voice recognition’ and use a far-field microphone array for smart voice recognition and noise cancellation even when the music is turned up or if you’re across the room.

The recommended retail price will be £269 in the UK.
