Spotify library limit removed giving users an unlimited number of saved items in their library although playlist and download limits will stay the same. The limit removal also applies to liked songs and albums. The limit removal was announced in a posting on Spotify’s community pages and points out that “Since 2014, the request to remove this limit has been very popular in the Community Ideas Exchange, with over 12,500 votes.”

Before now, it was only possible to save 10,000 items in your Spotify library and once you hit the limit, a message said “Epic collection my friend. There’s no more room in Your Library. To save more, you’ll need to remove some songs or albums”.

From now, the limit on saved song and albums in removed avoiding having to remove songs before adding new tracks if you had reached your limit.

The change does not impact the offline listening limit which remains the same. Spotify users are able to download 10,000 songs on 5 different devices for offline listening. The current limit of 10,000 items in a playlist will also stay the same.
