YouTube Music app comes preinstalled on Android 10 according to a recent blog posting replacing Google Play Music as the default music player. YouTube Music will come installed on all new devices launching with Android 10 (and Android 9), including the Pixel series.

According to the blog, ‘Music listeners on Android devices are now just a few taps away from streaming their go-to tracks and discovering new music. From the gym, to the car, to work—it’s all here, right in your back pocket. Discover official songs, albums and playlists, music videos, remixes, live performances, hard-to-find music, and more.’

In addition to YouTube Music, Android 10 brings new features like suggested actions in Smart Reply, improved Digital Wellbeing tools, Dark theme, and much more. Full details of all Android 10 features can be found on the Android website here.

Google Play Music listeners with new Android 10 devices can continue to enjoy Google Play Music by downloading it from the Play Store and logging in to their accounts. The Google Play Music app can be downloaded here.
