Listen to TikTok songs in your music app with their new feature ‘Add to Music App’ which saves the songs you discover in TikTok to the music streaming service of your choice. The Add to Music App is launching for users in the US and UK in partnership with the major music streaming services, including Amazon Music and Spotify.

The feature will appear as a button that says Add Song next to a track name at the bottom of a TikTok video in the For You Feed, inviting users to save the song to the music streaming service of their choice. The first time a user presses the Add Song button, they can choose to save it to their preferred music streaming service. Amazon users will need a Prime or Music Unlimited subscription and songs will be saved to a TikTok Songs playlist or a playlist of their choice. Spotify users will have songs saved to their Liked Songs playlist.

Following the first use of the Add to Music App feature, the music app selected will then become the default music streaming service for future track saves, although users can select to change the default music streaming service at any time under settings. Users can also use the Add to Music App feature from an artist’s Sound Detail Page.

How to integrate TikTok with Spotify

  1. Make sure your Spotify and TikTok mobile apps are updated.
  2. Set Spotify as your default streaming service on TikTok. You can do this the first time you use the new feature by tapping ‘Add Song’ in the main TikTok feed and selecting Spotify, or under the Settings page on TikTok under Music.
  3. Then, automatically save songs to Your Library by simply tapping the ‘Add to Spotify’ button in TikTok. On Spotify, you’ll find all your newly saved tracks in your Liked Songs playlist.
  4. Head to your Liked Songs and start listening.
