KingMonkey bills itself as ‘the worst internet radio station in the universe’ and broadcasts from ‘somewhere in Eastern Europe’. According the station ‘We play a mix of nu-metal, hip-hop and alternative music. Everything from system of a down, korn, linkin park to tyler the creator, earl sweatshirt, jamie paige, etc.’ They have a 256kbps MP3 and a CD Quality Lossless FLAC stream. They also tease that they ‘maybe broadcasting on FM radio somewhere in eastern Europe if we’re feeling a little rebellious’.
Their server also hosts a 128kbps stream called ‘Testcard’ which they describe as ‘British test card music innit.’ UK Listeners of ‘a certain age’ will instantly be transported back to the early days of 405 line black and white cathode ray televisions. Bonkers but fun.
