Mother Earth Radio adds 2 premium HiRes channels and updates its ‘free to air’ HiRes listening link as part of a recent revamp of its service. The main HiRes channel has been joined by two premium channels – Klassik and Instrumental – both available as HiRes (FLAC 24-bit/96kHz) and MP3 streams. Pricing has been set at €9 per month or €17 for two months and subscribers have the option of requesting every track of the station’s archive in the on-demand player in the members area. Other upgrades include a song-request feature in the main station web player and the website and webplayer are now in several languages (Czech, German, English, French, Italian, Dutch and Norwegian)
The station’s founder Florian Reiterer has a singular view on music and the world and said, “The station’s philosophy and why there is this quite unusual mix of genres is now further explained in the paper ‘what’s it all about’.”
Currently only the webplayer and some devices using AirableNow, StreamMagic (used in Cambridge Audio HiFi kit) and Axios software show in stream metadata.
