TIDAL launches lossless casting technology giving BluOS users additional ways to control music on connected devices directly from the TIDAL app. Following a software update on the 20th October 2020, BluOS Enabled ​players from NAD Electronics, Bluesound, DALI Loudspeakers, and Monitor Audio, will be able to access TIDAL Connect’s HiFi casting technology.

TIDAL Premium users can open the ‘Now Playing’ screen while playing a song, click on the device selector on the bottom left, and choose the TIDAL Connect-enabled device for playback. TIDAL Connect supports the extended audio formats available through TIDAL HiFi, including Master Quality Audio (MQA) and Dolby Atmos. BluOS customers will still require the BluOS Controller app for advanced controls like player grouping and listening preferences. TIDAL will continue work as before, with direct browsing, search, and playlist creation natively inside BluOS Controller.

TIDAL offers music lovers unlimited access to its extensive catalogue of over 60 million tracks across all genres, thousands of curated playlists and endless artist radio stations. With ‘HiFi Albums For You’ and ‘New HiFi Tracks For You’, TIDAL curates playlists based on user listening patterns so HiFi members can listen to the latest releases in the best quality available. Immediately upon creating an account, members will receive a personalized ‘Welcome Mix’ featuring music from their favourite artists and inspiring new music discovery.

TIDAL is available in 56 countries with more than 60 million song and 250,000 high quality videos together with original video series, podcasts, thousands of expertly curated playlists and artist discovery via TIDAL Rising. TIDAL is available in premium and HiFi tiers which includes recording in Master Quality Authenticated (MQA), Sony’s 360 Reality Audio recordings, and Dolby Atmos Music formats.

BluOS is a multi-room audio ecosystem that manages stored and cloud music sources and playback, with support for high-resolution audio streams up to 24-bit/192kHz.
