TIDAL launches My Mix playlist

Black Friday subscription offer extended to 2nd January 2019

TIDAL launches My Mix playlist which is ‘a personalized curation of songs that offers an easy way to enjoy more of the music you love.’ My Mix is personalized to your specific listening habits to create the perfect mix based on your most recent listening patterns and what’s saved to your collection. This enhancement has been rolled out with a change in its Track and Artist Radio feature and an extension to its Black Friday subscription offer to the 2nd January 2019.

TIDAL’s algorithm leverages its library to create My Mix and this will change gradually based on listening patterns and will include your latest favourites and tracks with similar vibes. My Mix features up to six different curations based on the styles of music you stream and these can be saved as a playlist in your collection and listened to on-demand.

The My Mix feature is similar to Spotify’s Daily Mix or Apple Music’s For You playlist.

My Mix also has its own section on your My Collection. The more music you listen to, the more often your mixes are updated and these can be saved to a playlist. You will start getting personalized mixes after you have listened to enough music for TIDAL’s algorithms to start to detect your music personality and this will typically be within a day or two of listening.
